OK everyone settle down. This was not intended to be a debate at all, I really was looking for likes/dislikes on the Sig P229. I did get a lot of good advice for sure. It will come down to me and my wife and what we think is best for us. No need for anyone to get upset, it is after all, an open forum, say as you please. Now for more, still going to bring the wife out to shoot a few, see what she likes for her, myself, well I'll be getting the SIG but changed it to 9mm I think, something different then the 40sw and 44mag is always nice. |

As for the P229 being SA/DA, I knew that which is why I stated I liked SA/DA autos. Sig makes a great pistol (I have a P226 9mm). You won't be disappointed. | |
