Well, that was during the weekend, have they stopped doing some of the shipping during the weekends yet?

That happened to me once. A problem with the zip code on the package and they did not know where to send it.

The USPS has been doing an exceptionally terrible job lately...

Right now I'm waiting for a package where the usps driver scanned the package as "delivered" when he picked it up from the sender...

For the most part I've had great luck with USPS,but when they screw up they do it big time! I prefer having stuff shipped by them instead of UPS, I love when I check tracking for UPS and my stuff is 10 miles away but sits there for two days because it's scheduled for delivery on a certain day. WTF throw it on the truck and deliver it!

Twice in a matter of a month have I had packages get routed through Puerto Rico when they both originated around Tennessee and were being delivered in Denver. Wasted fuel, sorting time, efficiency and time waited for delivery.

Then they wonder why the USPS system isn't viable.

I had a package that originated about 45 minutes east of me get routed to a Navy ship off the coast of Africa.

Another package from RPP spent 3 days cycling through the same PO in Cali.

It took a whooping 75 days for my USPS first class parcel to reach me !!!

And consider 75 days with no tracking information of any kind!!

I am never ever going to opt for USPS first class service in this life...

I don't mind USPS priority as they seem to show up on the 2nd or 3rd day consistently. Sometimes even overnight.

I ask for priority every transaction now. If they refuse or still send it first class, their feedback reflects it.

Hey Crash..........

I found this post and called USPS to confirm that your package was delivered on the 18th

I called USPS today and bitched them out about this problem
and this is what they told me

When you take 2 or more packages to the Post Office (pre printed Shipping label)
the teller has to scan each package individually and mark as shipped on their computer screen right away for each package

If they just scan all packages at once with out putting them into the computer individually, then they get messed up on their system
and you & I are unable to track the package

This has happened more than once before
So now I stand there and wait for the teller to scan each package individually
even if she tells me that she'll scan them later

Hope this helps any future problems when shipping with USPS

Best Regards, Rick

I used to work at UPS and I have all sorts of horror stories about the stuff I saw there.

It's not unusual for ground packages to set in a semi trailer for a few days.

Having worked retail for too many years, I would go USPS before UPS or FedEx, seen too many mangles boxes with damaged product over the years.

I stopped using prepaid labels because of the scanning issue.
As this morning, I am taking 11 packages to the PO to ship this morning, they have to weigh each one, enter, scan and apply postage individually so I am at least somewhat confident that they are sent properly.
