| Club dues
The last few years we've gone away from our normal club structure and it seems to have hurt our turnout. We have started our season, however I'd like to start something back up so we can get trophies again, new gate markers etc.... My question to you guys is how do you manage your club funds? I want to avoid using my personal paypal and am unfamiliar with setting up a club oriented paypal. Any suggestions? |

The local club I race with doesn't have yearly dues, but do ask for donations on race night and if you want to participate in points season, you pay a one time entry fee. The track donations go to maintenance and equipment, the points season fee is split up between the top finishers, with a small percentage going to awards and such. A good portion of what gets done/bought/provided is done out of love for the sport and with no expectations of monetary compensation. |

ETRC charges $5 per driver on comp day which allows them to run all classes and get a raffle ticket if we have prizes. It's worked well for us and provides enough money for T-shirts, annual cookout and trophies each year.

I guess what I'm asking is, those who use paypal for such a service. How do you go about the banking without including your personal details.

Why use paypal at all? Can't you just collect fees at the event?

I will do both, however alot of guys like the ease of purchasing through our Forum, its how we did it in years past. Edit: Paypal looks to have a non-profit account. I haven't looked deep into it yet, but that may be the ticket. Just looking for something that makes tracking easy and payment even easier for some. Last edited by RcBro; 11-02-2013 at 05:08 PM. |

RolandRockShop made a Paypal account for the club a couple years ago. All our money goes into that. Not sure of all the details. Shoot him a pm.

I think paypal needs documentation of being a true non profit for getting a non profit account. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk |

to go the PP route... club needs its own email address.. create/set your profile to non-profit.. easy enough. |
