| Hitec Servo Repair
Has anyone here dealt with the Hitec for non-warranty repairs? The Hitec 645-MG in my stampede has started to malfunction, and has a broken mounting tab. The top of the servo got close to 130 degrees last time a ran it, and it had trouble re-centering itself with HPI Geolander tires. According to the Hitec company website, the flat fee for a HS645 is $25.00. Above that, they stack on a standard service charge that ranges from $5-$15. That is approaching the price of a brand new servo. Would it be best to just purchase a new servo? I can save the gears from this servo as spares, or rig it up as a winch.

this pretty much a no brainer...if it costs almost as much to have them fix the old one as buying a new one, i would say buy the new one.

I have sent ALOT of hitec servos back and have never paid more than shipping. They have allways been super awsome about fixing them and sending them back in a hurry.

Thanks, that was what I wanted to know. Where your servos less than two years old when you sent them back, syco133?
