It was because most of the music and fashion was terrible. A decade of people trying WAY too hard to be cool. And I was only 5 through 15, but I knew it sucked. Cars sucked too.

I'm with you on this, The 80's was crap to me. Some of my friends loved it, but I hated it. I was 10yr old to 20yr old in the 80's so i kind of got both sides of it , from a kid to grown up.

I hear ya.. but on the plus side, used cars that a teen could buy were from the 60's and 70's! I had my fair share of V8 monsters!

And really, music was in a flux stage... lot's of cool stuff was happening.

On the flip side of that Metalica also had their first video on MTV & began getting radio air play.

Headbangers ball was an 80's creation which was bomb (til that peterless dweeb Ricky Rachtman!)

Tull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Maico 490 was a product of the 80's. I'd say the 80's were pretty cool

Nooooo c'mon man...the IROC Z, Trans Am GTA, the redesign on the vette...there was some cool stuff. I was 19 in '86 when my step brother bought a brand new IROC. We hooked up with more ass with that car than any ordinary man could imagine. Those were some awesome times!! Now I'm 46, married (to a chick who looks nothing like the ones from the camaro days), and drive an '04 Hyundai. I want my teenage life back!!
