shit get that first cut straight and 90 degrees where you want that tree to fall, plus using wedges you can get that tree to move ever so slightly right or left a few inches if needed ....

I could have done that with my eyes closed. The tree would not of hit the patio and by the time it hit the ground! I would of had fire wood.......Boom......lol

True.The notching is very important also.
And "go away wind"helps.

I seen a guy years ago fell a tall tree between two red 2x4's 3 feet apart, but those 2x4's were 75 feet away from the base of the tree that was 100 foot tall....no wedges or anything was used but a chainsaw ....
