Some more hints, please. What is the plug for, can it be heated up, or does it move?
Was your grandpa a blackpowder man?

My guess is, this device is used to give die cast round "ball" bullets it`s final shape and polish.

I know nothing about guns or ammunition but it looks like it is for annealing.

Best of luck in your quest for information.

All I know about my grandpa is that he reloaded his own shells and was in the navy and died about a month or two before I was born. He had a cap and ball gun but the rest were mostly rifles and other modern-ish guns that use regular bullets with primers. I found a bucket with a bunch of casings. Everything from 22's to .30-6 casings.

Wire goes to this, which i assume is a motor as I can spin it like an rc motor and makes the same whine as a rc motor when you spin it by hand:

Which has these markings on it:

And the only markings I've found are on the removable plates that have different diameter holes in them:

And this is what it looks like with all the plates removed:

Just googled annealing machine and that's spot on. Still have no idea what brand or how much it's worth though. Thanks for the help guys.

Ok, so I'm bringing this back up. I know what it is now, but I don't know how much it's worth. Anyone have any idea?

When this came up before started looking into it more out of curiosity. The one you have looks like a BC-1000 automatic case annealer The After Market Sight Specialist - Ken Light Manufacturing , brand new, just shy of $500 in its current form. What and older one like you have run used???

Find someone that shoots benchrest or runs some odd wildcat round that needs custom made cases.

That's spot on. So far I've come up with nothing as far as older ones for sale. But, I have time so hopefully I can find something.
