Default My Budget Video Editing - CAD PC - $600 Build

Hey guys, I'm not sure if they're are many pc builds on here. I know Harley did a video series on his cad machine.

I've been using my MacBook Pro to edit videos. However it just isn't up to the task for the work to be done quickly. Since I don't have $2700 for a new Mac desktop, I figured a pc was in order.

Lots of videos watched and research done. Here she is.

Luckily a nvidia Gforce video card landed in my lap for free so that saved some $$.

Rest of the specs.
Gigabyte 970A UD3P motherboard
AMD 8530 8 core cpu
Coolermaster 212 cpu cooler
8gb of Corsair Vengeance ram
Corsair 200r case and CX500 power supply
Samsung SSD 128gb
Western Digital 1TB Sata 3 HD
LG Dvd Writer
TP link wireless N

Lots of software to install now.

Should do you good.

Do me a favor, re-route that CPU power cable. Run it behind the motherboard tray. Turn your hard drive around, so the cables are in the back. That's what the cable management space is for.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure if there's enough room behind the motherboard for the CPU cable, but I'll give her a shot.

I was wondering about the hard drive. I didn't try to put the panels on yet, but I was thinking there is no way I'm going to get the main panel on with that 90* connector sticking out so far. Thanks for the tip.

Not behind the board, behind the tray. There is a 1" or so gap between the tray and side panel. Its for routing cables.

Got the hd changed around and wires rerouted. Installing software now for a while. I have a copy of Creo (ProE) 2.0 I'm going to try and install.
