Default That moment when you realize...

...it would be easier to buy it than dig for it
...you "DO" have an issue
...you shouldn't have let your friends pack your RC stuff
...I need a shop and need it now
...the person that said that moving was fun...was full of $^%#
...my laptop has to be in there somewhere
...this is only half of it

I feel ya. We just moved last month. I had a dedicated rc room at the old house and it was set up nicely enough. Too bad I hated the neighborhood.

Now my RC stuff is in the detached garage. At first I was sort of bummed about it until I realized that I'm now with my tools, welder, drill press etc and free from worrying about the carpet or being within shouting distance from the wife. Plus I love the neighborhood here so it's totally worth it.

Looks like a good move for you trash

I'm looking at moving as well....not looking forward to packing the rc stuff. I have a dedicated corner in the garage, about the size of a small bedroom, but completely packed.

Don't look forward to the move at all... I suspect I'll sell a lot....

I fews years back I tried to convince my wife we should build a 12,000 ft2 steel building and make living space on one side. She was not going for it.

We can get a 200x80 building with 18' eves built for around $150k floor, lights, doors etc not included of course. We'd talked about building a 40x80 end into a 2 story living area but I think I like the idea of keeping the living area and shop seperate.

I've measured it out and a 40x60 will fit here too. Just need to have 12' ceilings for the 2 post lift.

Right! I packed the majority of my stuff but the misc left on my desk and table got tossed into boxes of miscellaneous hell. One of these days I'll fix my wife's faux pas but I can't complain too loudly since I was working while she packed most of the house up.

My R/C addiction occupies over 1/3 of my 1200 sq/ft shop. When I move out of it, most R/C stuff will get put into boxes and sold for cheap. The good stuff will be worth you guys throwing away all my junk.

Man you guys are making me nervous.....

Currently selling my house and waiting for my new one to be completed sometime mid-January. At this point, though, at least all my RC stuff is packed, with the exception of my Yeti and Mini 8ight-T.

its also a good idea to write the contents of the box on the top AND the sides. i used a ton of the big one gallon freezer bags for misc loose stuff. worked pretty good.
