Bah, it takes a secure and strong man to be able to express himself in front of his peers knowing the social impact.

I am an insecure, strong man.
I guess, that puts me out of the poetry league.

Exactly, imagine if we lived in a world where every man felt societies shame when he tried to express himself... no music, no art, no movies created by men.

It's bad enough as it is... with the "pussification, be a man, man up" banter we have created a society of emotionally inept men who can not communicate and are in pain from the shame they feel cast on them by other men/society.

They are often prone to violence, hazing, depression, and feeling unworthy. We have men who can't relate to each other, women, or their children.

As my grandfather was laying in the hospital dying, my father told me that they had never said "I love you" to each other and my dad felt a strong urge to tell his father that he loved him... as he lay there on his deathbed... he couldn't do it.
That is very sad and pain that my father will have to live with.

I see...

well.. in my honest straight opinion, if your gay.. your gay. be a man about it. if your gonna cry. fawking cry. let your "feelings" out, without committing a crime of course.

the society we have today will be the death of the best of us. simply because nobody wants to bomb the terrorists back, social wars of the next in line president, ignorant race wars, and plain ignorance period.

kick back, drink a beer, and don't drink and drive kids. stay safe.

I have done some haiku and some long format poetry but lately I have been writing stream of conscious "poetry".

It would have to be RCC themed poetry...like mine and Hoop's.

Johnny, you should watch "The Mask You Live In" on Netflix. It's pretty much a documentary on exactly what you just said.

And if you've ever seen Ozzy, then you've heard it live:

My gf was telling me about that a while back, she watched it at work... she works for a local university and we are working on an men's mental health awareness campaign right now.

EDIT: I saw Ozzy back in 93' I think. Hell of a performer!

it takes an equally strong man to try and ignore his joke being quoted to make a high horse statement like that. ;)

From tv serials, movies to news papers ....all want to tag men as society's core problem.

Why don't the feminist target the banking system as society's core problem? I bet, solve this issue and mens mental health will be better than ever.
