Why are people still amazed at what a NIB original 3-Speed will sell for (especially a Blazer)?

$1700.00 and the reserve price has not been met? Ive bought decent 1:1 trucks for less than that. I realise how special these things are to collectors and enthusiasts, but it still amazes me....

I'm glad I found one in a body shop complete, unpainted, covered in dust and overspray. It almost felt like a crime handing the owner $50 and taking it home. It sure does look nice sitting on the shelf.

What's more amazing are the people that link to an auction that just started and say something like "Wow, awesome deal", not realizing that it'll go up about 2 thousand times the opening bid of 99 cents.

Yes it still amazes me that people actually pay these prices.

Someone will probly win it then part it out and sell the parts off for even more money.

Another thing that amazes me is what the guy wants for shipping. I can ship a set of 28 inch atv tires and wheels across the country for about 30 bucks.

I am not suprised by the price of Blazer. My question is where do people find these NIB kits at? I know some of them just are lucky to find them here and there. A friend of mine here found a Bruiser NIB at a estate sale for $40 bucks, he wont let me near the box .
