| Whays it worth?
I have located a brand new Axial XR10 Kit on craigslist, with an aftermarket set of plastic beadlocks and HPI rock grabbers. What would you pay? Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk |

I wouldn't buy it... I'd buy a bully2 kit or the RTR version.

I have not forgot about the alternatives, its a slippery slope for me though. If I end up doing one of those I know damn well I will have 2 grand into it |

I've owned but never built 2 xr10 kits. But from what I remember most guys replaced a lot of parts including axle gears to keep them running... Robbob could probably tell you more if stock gears are up to par. Cheapest well built comp worty (not perfect) is the bully2 rtr rig.. IMO the reason the bully2 isn't perfect is because of old skool electronics it comes with.. but a great rig to start with great solid axles, nice chassis, titanium links ect.. Best bang for your buck... unless you have upgrades and electronics in the long run you'll spend more money on the xr10.. just my 2cents. You'll be far from 2 grand with the B-2, but you could always get there. Last edited by tapped-out; 09-10-2016 at 11:04 AM. |

I feel like if I were to build a stock kit I would buy brushed motors and stick with lower cost components. If I buy a set of Dlux axles I will want to go all out and stick a brushless motors in it, huge servo, weight sets, ect ....He is asking 200$ but I need to pay 25$ to ship it. I am not a comp crawler, but have had them before to run on my courses. It's just for fun in other words.

You could buy the bully 2 kit from tower hobbies 489.00. Plus parts in picture 489.00 bully 2 kit +471.95 = part list 960.94 - 105.00= using tower hobbies coupon 855.95 +22.00 =motor 877.95 total Well under a grand... You'll still need motors just to get running you could buy these motors from ebay.. 11.00 ea. Included above From the looks of motor can and endbell these motors look like rc4wd and integy Motors Still a lot of money If I didn't mess something up above? A trick at tower. Spend the $ and join the super saver club, your discount on this same order is 160.00 not 105.00 And you can get some motors thru tower..... I bought the rtr, and yes I've replaced the servo (Promodeler 420 $80.) And a Holmes mini BR . Stock radio is fine with one esc, the Futuba shown rocks, but needs the two motor mix rather than stock dig..... Preference, and I love mine! HANG UP AND DRIVE ! |

I have a brand new set of XR10 axles with full Vanquish upgrades, RC4WD gears, Fast Eddy bearing set and RCScrews hardware kit...never assembled and I believe I pieced it all together for about $400. Like Robbob said, I wouldn't go near a stock set of axles for anywhere near half that. They're just not worth it anymore. As for the rest of the kit, I would only use the shocks and I'd rather just piece together the upgraded Axial versions if I wanted those. No interest in the wheels.
