Anyone playing the free-to-play Asphalt Extreme game from the Windows store? Despite the title, it's all off-road, has some nifty buggies, rally cars, SUVs. pickups, big trucks, and monster trucks. No real rough terrain, and the tracks are a little repetitive but for free, I can't complain. The Land Rover Defender and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon are really nice. I had been playing the street version - Asphalt Airborne - before, that's how I found out about it. My driving games are below... Installed from Steam: Dirt2 Dirt3 Dirt Rally Dirt Showdown Driver: San Francisco GRID GRID2 Next Car Game: Wreckfest (silly, but fun) Project Cars In Steam Library: AudioSurf Blur Dirt Ford Racing 3 Fuel Race 07 Race Injection RC Cars (Old! - also have original on CD-ROM) STCC II Origin: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Need For Speed: Most Wanted Need For Speed: Rivals Edit: forgot about these: Microsoft Store: Forza Horizon 3 (finally, Forza on PC - now if they would just release Gran Turismo for PC I would be set) Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Probably more on old discs and even some floppies - I know I have a Jack-n-the-Box Sega Rally freebie CD-ROM. Juts got a replacement for my Nexus 5 - the new Pixel XL - and will most likely order the Google Daydream VR for myself for X-mas and see what driving games they offer for it. Never messed with VR before. My homebuilt gaming PC is what I play on - never owned a console, I feel like at 52yrs of age I shouldn't get one as I don't have kids! My Rig: Corsair Vengeance C70 case with MNPCTech custom tinted side window w/logo, upgraded SP120 PWM Performance fans (x6), DemciFlex external front filter Corsair Vengeance K70 Red LED Rapidfire Cherry MX Speed mechanical keyboard Corsair Vengeance M60 mouse Corsair Vengeance memory 32GB Corsair H80i liquid-cooling system Corsair RM650 PSU Intel i7 Devil's Canyon 4790K CPU - overclocked from 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz constant - higher when doing heavy gaming MSI Z97 Gaming 7 MoBo MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G GPU with MNPCTech aluminum support bracket Samsung 850 Pro SSD 512GB OS drive Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB storage drive Archon Slot-Loading Blu-Ray burner (uses internal Panasonic UJ-265 OD) AOC 27" 144Hz Gaming monitor Behringer Xenyx 502 5-channel mixer KRK Rokit 6 G2 Studio monitors Grado Labs Prestige Series SR60i headphones Running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (no input devices for driving - use the keyboard and mouse - kinda sad considering the above hardware - but it's all in my living room!) I personally prefer a bit different games. And honestly, I do not play one and the same game for a lot time, it becomes boring for me. Instead, I am fond of testing various novelties on the market. For example, I love to play Hot 777. Have you heard of this game? You can test it for free now, go to https://polskie-kasyno.com/hot-777/ to play a demo.

Since you have raised this thread from the dead - pre-loading Forza Horizon 5 as we speak, kicks off tomorrow for those that got the Premium Edition! Also upgraded the PC a bit in the last 5 years, now running games from a WD Caviar Black M2 1TB SSD drive, the liquid cooler went from a rear-mounted 120mm radiator to a roof-mounted 240mm, monitor is a 32" curved screen 144HZ AOC, and most importantly the GPU is a MSI RTX2060. Still plays great! Added Dirt Rally 2.0 (much better) and Dirt 5 (hated it, what a disappointing release). (and Wreckfest has been massively updated over the years, way more fun now than upon original release) |

This thread reminds me I haven't been in the sim rig in a year or so. I should probably sell that stuff off and put the money into other hobbies.

Gran Turismo 7 has got me thinking about getting a new Playstation for the first time since the PS3. I absolutely love the collector aspect of those game. Its the game that got me into cars when I was young. Now if only they could do a PC version too. My sim rig has been collecting dust too but I dont think I could ever part with it, hell I still have my old sim rig too lol |

My hobbies are limited to RC, keeping my gaming PC build at least semi-current, and folding knives... I haven't drank alcohol in a few years, don't go out to fancy restaurants, or have car payments. My 2010 Honda Fit is completely paid for and only has about 65K miles, and I have no credit cards, either. However, a single income handling rent in Austin kinda keeps me stuck at this level... So no SCX6 or all-aluminum Vanquish builds, here! I don't ever sell my stuff off, but that may change as I have a couple RCs that I doubt I'll ever run again - both go-fast vehicles. Shouldn't have bought them, but I suppose how else was I to know that I'm over that side of the hobby? |

Wreckfest is one of my favorites with FH4 being my top. Hopefully tomorrow when i load up FH5 I like it better. Really looking foward to the new Bronco and F450.. EDIT: I completley forgot about the relase time being Eastern Time, meaning i can play it at 6pm lol. I just loaded it up and it definitely blows FH4 out of the water. Graphics, handling, wheel choice, customization, car list, etc. ______________________________________ AR60 VS410 TRX4 Sport coming soon.. Veterans deserve a whole month too... Dirt Rally is a separate offshoot of the Dirt franchise. Its a bit more sim than arcade, it can be pretty intense. I dont really care for Dirt but I love Dirt rally. If you like more of a hardcore sim you might wanna check it out. I really need to fire up Wreckfest again I see they've been updating it a lot more recently. | |

I used to build RC ships. I really enjoyed this hobby but it took a lot of time. Now I like to play wow but not a lot. And I'm also very interested in the topic of crypto or NFT games https://thenftwtf.com/ . You can play them and make money, but I have not yet chosen exactly what to play. There are already many such games and there will be more of them.
