Other rig looked to be brushless, they could've evened it out a little for you...

Just the at the rate the pictures were taken and how the tires are ballooning.. it "looks" to be brushless, I mean it is throwing a lot of roost (dirt). I could be mistaken.. Frank211 do you know if your contenders rig was brushless? It seems it wouldnt of been a fair battle if so.

You don't need brushless to do that.

Other front tire isn't spinning and going twice as fast because "it looks" like it has an open front diff.

Is that a 1/8 buggy based rig? I'm kinda liking that approach, like Rjohn's (?) Current Tekno build. You can pack 1/8 scale power and durability into a "1/10" scale car with less expensive parts.

If you zoom in on the last picture, you will find dolls watching the show.

Yes, it's Pham's 1/10th scale Tekno based rig. Open front and rear diffs with axial based trans, Tekin Pro4HD I believe.

Does he have a build thread on that rig? and if so, can you point out where I can find it?

Well that's what you get going to a Proline event with a set of Duratrax tires..... Just busting your stones - looks like a ton of fun!

Although if I were Proline I'd use those pics as a promo!

No build on it, it was finished for the U4RC Nationals and wasn't showed until Race Day. There are 6 basically identical cars total, built by Mike Duncan (4xdoc <- or something like that) on here.
