my sled is a 02 pro x 440 chassis with a 2003 800ves and a 136 inch track with 2 inch paddles, fly bars, 3 inch bar risers, shortie seat, c&a skis, ice scratchers, gutted air box, low chrome windshield, flowrites on dash, wholeshot skidplate, custom flames on the hood, a slp can, and all kinds of other crap. it is now on some snow, lol Last edited by cvecmaxx; 01-29-2007 at 08:22 PM. |

no, I dont have perc, but if it is working right, it will stall the motor till it almost stops, then fire it in the oposite direction, so the motor will be running backwards. the "stalling" you mention is how it is suposed to work. by having the motor spin backwards, you get rid of all of the extra weight of the reverse gears, and whatnot. ya i know what it was supposed to do, but everytime it would stall down and then never go into reverse it would just die, i only had it work right a few times. o well the viper is x44767 times faster anyway, and the 180 Hp from the viper is a plus too |

yep, you have to have it so that the idle is turned up high enough that the clutch wont engage, and the reverse wont kill it.

180 horse Viper there is alot of internal work done to taht sled isn't there? The Viper was around 120-130 stock. Also Polaris actualy traded a pantent to Ski Doo for the electronic reverse setup.

I ride a lot whenever we get snow I don't have any pictures and its dark out right now but, here's what we got. 1994 Yamaha Z-max 600 1990 Arctic Cat Jag 440 1980 Kawasaki intruder 440 1980 Kawasaki invader 440 1972 Arctic Cat Cheetah They are all stock, except for plastic ski skins, but the engine on the Kawasaki Intruder was rebuilt and it seems to rip pretty good. |

I have not really pulled the pin on a sled in a long time. My last machine was an 01 Polaris prox 600 with a fully blue printed chassis and motor. It ran pretty strong for a little 600 I added a few pics of my sleds in the past along with my daughters champ class powered xc120. Actually it had more power then was allowed in the champ class. It would easily cruise 40 on hardpack and pull 35+ on grass with no wheels on the skis. Last edited by Rat1; 03-03-2007 at 05:57 AM. |
