I am floored that Dana White has brought Cro Cop to the UFC, if Randy Cotour beets Tim Silvia he won't have the belt for long, and if Tim wins I think Mirko can still kick him in the head. Oh yeah yall are all invited over saturday night to watch the pay per veiw, my treat!! http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...+cro+cop&hl=en |

I would like to see him and chuck pick a weight to meet at and go at it. It would be an interesting fight for sure.

If you can get past Mirko's 2 moves, then a good grappler might have a chance to get inside, but all those fights seemed pretty brutally finished no matter the size or style of person. I loved the toe marks left on the guys ribs personally. Oh and after the last fight I saw of Randy, I think he is done. That's just me though. He might be lucky and get a good whack on the guy with his aluminum walker, but he will have to remove those tennis ball ends first -Sam |

From what I've seen Cro Cop has about as good of take down defence as Chuck does. And thats what everyone sayed about him, that he's a stand up fighter, and we all saw what he did to Tito. I just feel bad for the guy he's fighting sturday night, he can't feel good if he watched that video....... |

Crocop is going to bring the UFC HW division to an entirely new level. He's seen ground games far better than any that currently exist in the division (remember, Wanderlei, Yoshida, Barnett twice?). Obviously, his strengths are in his standup, but he is now competent enough on the ground not to get into any major trouble and then punish his opponent in the standup. I do agree that I'd like to see Chuck/Crocop, though! I think Chuck is a little bit outclassed, but not by a huge margin, though. I'd like to see Mirko sweep both HW and LHW! |

I'm also pumped about seeing Rampage's octagon debut! It's been over 3 years since he TKO'd Chuck. They're both very different fighters today. That matchup better happen soon!! | |

I wouldn't count Couture out just yet. He might be 44, but he's still got cardio that can outlast a good portion of the younger guys in the UFC. I think the recent matchups against Chuck are just a bitter example of a fighter than has his number. Chuck has figured out just how to win, and Randy hasn't been able to figure out how to defend against it. Like Randy said, he wants to come back and he will fight anyone, in any weight class, except Chuck.

Shoot, Matt is gonna get crushed!! He's a 185er!! Monson/Aleksander might be good, though. And if Monson beats little Emelianenko, then Fedor will surely take that match to exact revenge! Last edited by SammyXp; 01-31-2007 at 09:00 AM. |

For anyone just getting into MMA with apprehension about the sport - check out this CNBC clip. It is now recognized as a legitimate, regulated athletic event. http://www.richfranklin.com/news.asp?item=55 A far cry from the way it was when I was in college (early 90's)! |
