Internet Access, cable to hot spot?

Paradigm shift...

Thinking about dumping my cable company company for internet access and using my phone as a 'hot spot'...

Been doing speed tests between my phone on the WiFi (cable) and data access directly, I am surprised...

Cable company (Sudden Link): 18 down, 1.6 up
AT&T Data: 60 down, 18 up.

I have been running this test for a couple of days and it seems pretty consistent.

Anyone done this?

Thats not a option here in my apartment.


I got 950 down and 70 up on cable
And on my phone at my computer table i just get 20 up and 20 down.


Will probably upgrade to 5 G and new phone next year, and a unlimited plan with 1 TB fair usage data as its only 6 dollars more than my current plan.


And then i want 2 SIM cards so i can put a AP in my car to share all that data.


PS. my cable cost 2 X more / mo than my current phone plan, 299 Dkkr Vs 99 Dkkr


PPS. and when i get a new apartment i will get 1000 / 1000 on fiber, and you cant beat that not even with 5G
+ i am home a lot and i feel like a complete idiot every time i look at my phone, cuz thats how the zoombies look to me, thankfully i only look at my phone for 5 minutes every day, and it dont even buzz or ring every day.

The only problem you might run into is at&t throttling video quality.

One of the questions I need to ask before pulling the trigger.

But, it can't be any worse than the cable ISP I have now, when school lets out, my ping on my FPS goes from around 100ms to around 2000ms.

The town I live in is exploding, lots of new houses going in, infrastructure has not kept pace at all.

Keep in mind not only throttling, but make DAMN sure you're on an unlimited (I know, I know, it's a lie) plan as overages can be pricey.
