I knew it was released because it's all over Facebook. The paid shills are sharing it in every group imaginable.

It looks to be well done for what it is, but Jeeps and Toyotas have gotten stale. How about some American hard bodies?

but Jato, jerps ARE American!

there is always the blazer.
at least this isn't another variation of the land cruiser??

i am literally having internal conflict between this and turning my yeti into a 79 ferd trophy truck...

but then, i don't have a TF2 chassis... so... there's that.

Coming from someone building up a scale Baja Rey right now, I'll be an outlier and tell you to do the TT!

Having said that, it looks like a pretty sweet scale body. Doors and hood open. She gonna be a top heavy one tho!

the real conundrum for me is this:
i don't have a TF2 for the foreigner body.
i don't have a 79 ford baja body (sold out atm) for the yeti

lol what a pickle!

solution: put 4runner body on yeti

*RUNS LIKE HELL*

Decisions....decisions. You could always buy a TF2 along with the body!

What excites me most about this body is seeing the direction some of the manufactures are going. We went from lexan shells -> lexan with some molded plastic -> hard body -> hard body with opening doors, hoods, full interiors.

I've been watching the classifieds like a HAWK for a TF2 since xmas.

i already had plans to build an 80's yoter. now i REALLY want to build one!

just checked proline and the 79 ford slash bodies are back in stock.
*carries the 2, uses toes...*
i cant afford TF2, 4runner, AND yeti conversion.
gonna have to really crunch numbers to see where i'm at though.

and here i was SO convinced i would get the desert runner a month ago. heh. A.D.D. (on a shoestring budget) is a mofo...

So we are moving towards decreased performance. That's what confuses me.
Hard bodies with opening doors are great for static models, but terrible for performance.

difference between crawling (comp or not) and trails.

the real beauty though, is being able to build any way you want, or anything between.

I think as consumers we'd all love to see more variety. If I were a big manufacturer, though, I'd definitely be concerned about the international appeal of any body I was going to invest in. I'm guessing the American vehicles (Jeep excluded) probably don't have that same interest globally. I think that's also a big reason why it took so long to finally get a licensed Tacoma body. They're hugely popular in the US, but there's much less interest elsewhere.
