Out Of Stock Items

Has anyone else experienced a number of items being out of stock at online retailers? Such as Spekrum Receivers, Reefs and Savox servos normally used for crawling and trail use, also motors and ESC's. There are other items also, but curious if others have found what they need also in short supply?

Your right with that statement. Also RPP is out of most of the same items. They do seem to have more Vanquish parts in stock than Amain. It appears RPP has also kept up with shipping.

Last Monday and Friday I ordered 2 orders from Amain, on Thursday I cancelled the Monday one and ordered from RPP. The items from RPP were sent Thursday and arrived Monday. The Amain order I did not cancel has still not shipped.

I would order from RPP if they have your item.

Yep, this is all because we get most things from China - especially in RC.

Just think of this as a preview of what can and probably will happen in the future. If China cuts off our supply chain they control us temporarily.

I guess it depends on what your looking for. Seems like lots of stuff comes and goes. I taked to the owner of my lhs and he's been telling me with everyone staying home lately that their sales have increased and the online orders are cleaning out the store. Soon as shipments come in they are flying off the shelf. I can believe it too I can go in ome day return a few days later and there's lots of holes till their next shipment. Hopefully we can all get what were looking for with the problems going on everywhere in the world.

I noticed it too... WP1080's are in very short supply. I received my "stimulus check" yesterday and went to do some shopping, but it's awful dry out there. Even Ebay has a lot less items on.

Not just RC, since most stores are closed here, we're struggling to find a few items we need for our ever expanding home office needs...everything that is open is pretty much cleaned out and all of a sudden I'm a homeschool teacher of 2.

We're going to be going back to the days where everyone had to make everything. I'll be picking up some threaded rods to make some links the old fashioned way.

I know there are extra precautions being taken currently but I placed an order Sunday that still hasn't shipped from Amain. Maybe there is a huge backup of online orders maybe they have had less people in the warehouse. I didn't get any confirmation email Sunday when I ordered either and had to use the chat to confirm it processed. After the chat I got an email with a label created notice. Not a huge deal but the longest I've ever waited for anything from them

I think there are a multitude of factors at play.

1. Covid-19 affecting supply chain, whether it be through pauses in production, or shipping delays for wholesale orders.
2. Covid-19 affecting buying habits. Many people in the world have more free time on their hands, yet many have seen their incomes affected. Some people may be deferring larger hobby purchases, like fishing boats, RVs, and ATVs, yet still feel comfortable making smaller buys on RC items.
3. Release of a new kit from the popular brand Axial, is helping push the need for electronics higher.

It has to be a Amain thing, I have ordered multiple times in the last 2 weeks from RPP and they have shipped out the same day. They have been out of some common items but shipped what they offered.

I tried to restrain myself, I really did...I get called an Amain hater enough, but...

I stopped patronizing them completely last year after an extremely unpleasant customer service experience. My GF forgot that and ordered me a TRX-4 kit from them for a Christmas present on Cyber Monday. It finally got here January 10th. That was way before the Covid-19 had any effect on anything.

The SCX10.3 I ordered from RPP on Mar 24 with the free standard shipping option arrived Mar 30, after the Covid had starting impacting civilization.

'Nuff said.

Supply chain disruption in China is now the ultimate butterfly effect.

Less stuff coming in from China, people are bored sitting at home, and stimulus checks dropped. Parts are probably going to be in short supply for a while.
