Those definitely look good. Hopefully they can take a beating.

Was reading the details, they seem pretty beefy - Elastomer cush drive in the center diff, huge axle housings, 1/8th scale diffs, massive chassis plates, even rubber bump-stops in the shocks (something they picked up from Gmade? )

Lots of optional parts coming out for them, too. Also gotta dig the flip-cage design, glad to see that concept making it's way through the hobby...

I'm not as much a fan of monster trucks as I am of trail/scale/crawlers, but these sure look nice. The video is very impressive, hopefully they didn't destroy a bunch of parts while making it!

I'm curious how this will play with the SMT10 since they're both under Horizon. Kinda like the Baja Rey and Yeti.... One had to go...

I'm pretty amped for these. I always felt like the SMT-10 felt too clobbered together, where these look more purpose-built. I'll wait for a kit version and let a few folks do the beta testing for me first.

Hemistorm has a good video going over the LMT, he seems to know his monster trucks so of all the videos going up I went to his first.

He mentioned the "cush" gear which to me reminds me of BMW's guibo which is a weird rubber dampener built into their drivelines.

Don't count on there being a "kit". For one thing, Losi very rarely does kits...that's what the TLR side of the business is good. For another thing, as they're releasing a 'roller' version (which, interestingly, also includes the wheels & tires, but only a black version of the cage), that makes a "kit" even less likely.

RC_Driver has a 40 minute, full breakdown & review, video. I haven't finished watching it (as it's l-o-n-g, but it's got LOTS of info.

I LOVE monster trucks, hence my screen name! I'm all over this. I've been wanting a solid-axle monster truck that drives like the real thing. This truck needs absolutely no upgrades besides maybe a new Servo down the road. Losi really thought this thing through.
Buying this would be cheaper than buying an smt10 and upgrading it in the long run. I think I'm going to buy this for myself for Christmas.

Kinda glad I held out on a Axial smt. This seems superior. Any pics inside the trans? Isnt the motor sideways?

How many pieces are the main rails? Kinda looks stretchable ?

It looks like a crossover between the Losi Rock Rey and the Axial SMT. Not surprising since Horizon owns both brands now.

Front and rear vertical rails are separate from the center. The motor is indeed sideways. This truck is far superior to an smt10. It is not stretchable , but the wheelbase is 13.5 in

Is 13.5” wheelbase so that’s good. Seems like that’s plenty as far as scale goes. I’m excited to see another MT besides the SMT10 with a decent footprint, I have no interest in any of the others because they are 10-11”. Too stubby lol. Although my plan if I grabbed an SMT10 was going to be a trailing arm delete and 12.5” link setup. This thing looks much more proportional.

I’m going to hang out on it until that price (hopefully) drops down from hype level. $600 is a lot of coin for a rig that just jumps and pops wheelies lol.

The roller is interesting and glad they have a black cage option, although the blue would work with a ton of paint schemes. I’ll wager Son uva sells more than Gravedigger.

There's always the option of having the cage Cerakoted to (almost) any color you want. As for which will sell more, I'd place my money of Graaaaaaaave Diggerrrrr...always the crowd favorite.

It will be interesting to see what bodies they release. Really, ANYTHING beside GD. I like the bodies the Traxxas NHRA monster trucks had, I just didn't like them being on the 2WD 'Pede chassis. The Pede is a great truck, but the NHRA models REALLY need 4WD and solid axles to do them justice.
