Default slash crash

finally got a break on the slash! been beating it up and feeling it's limit points to see what stock part would go first. can now safely purchase some upgrades now that it broke(keeping the women happy) and get it ready for the pit races now that snow is gone!

Now that you finally broke something...welcome to the "real" RCing - the 'repairing'.

They are so much fun to drive. Thoses plastic shock caps are junk unfortunately. I can't even remember the last time I took the slashes out to run. Been so busy theses days working my ass off. Happy repairing the slash.

Same exact place that I broke mine... let it get a little too far away from me... then BAM!.. right into a concrete piling. Snapped the left front a-arm. The crash also wound up bending the shock shaft and popping the shock cap off. Replaced the front shafts and upgraded all 4 arms to RPM's. Shock body was fine but I upgraded the caps to Traxxas aluminum caps and haven't had any issues since.

I got my slash out for the first time in a couple years and quickly realized why it had been on the shelf for so long. Had a tire come unglued and destroy the foam, fan on the esc starting go out, rear wheel bearings exploded and the body mounts ripped through the body.

But, damn it was fun

any recommendations on a strong replacement body?

ended up breaking the rear bulkhead yesterday, just put the new a-arms in and was jumping it, had a cool jump where i kissed a rock and got more air, landed it, was totally worth it. wish parts weren't 2-3 weeks out
