Default E-Bay Snatch

I have just found out that my one of my 3D designs I posted on Thingiverse has been listed for sale on E-Bay. Looking into it, this person is actually selling six of my designs, as well as using my pictures off of Thingiverse.

First, I am actually flattered that someone thinks the stuff I design is good enough to sell. But, this violates both Autodesk's (Fusion 360) and Thingverse's EULAs. Now Thingiverse, meh, ok, not that big of a deal. But, I have a hobbyist license with Fusion 360 that I do not wish to risk. The program is free for hobbyist as long as the designs are not used for commercial use.

So, what would you guys do in this case? I have sent the seller a message requesting that the items get removed. The next steps are to report the seller to E-Bay, as well as Autodesk. Should I really push it that far?

Thoughts?

YES.

Totally unacceptable, my man.

If we don't act on one, they'll all think it's OK.

(just IMHO...)

I’d absolutely report them. You gave your designs out for free, they’re profiting off them. Not cool.. and to use your pics.
Weirdly enough I stumbled across a picture on eBay of a car I used to own. The ad was from China and I wrote them asking where they got the pictures, they said “the internet” they weren’t even my pictures, they were from the original owner. I had pulled the orange wheels off when bought and sold the car almost a year prior. Those type of people will do whatever benefits them. Pics of the ad and of the same car on my old apartment countertop

You're on the right track. I'd do the same.

As for pictures being used, sadly I see it all the time with car stuff.
