| Flying pics and video from this weekend
P47Tbolt and I went to Louisville, GA to fly with some dudes down there. Had a good time. The CG was off on my 540 but that's a minor issue compared to running out of fuel downwind of the runway. Dove to keep from stalling and flared it just before it touched. Flattened the landing gear on one side but no other damage. Straightened the gear and she's ready to fly again. I actually did a touch and go with the F27C Stryker. Prop was cutting the grass. Some pics: I'll upload more pics later...too many to sort out right now. Here's the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYDTeWVqBKo |

A single tooth mark and a little slobber is all that was on it. She got a little nibble and let go. Just played with it. |

Couple more pics...these two are of the bald eagles that live in the woods where the plane crashed...about 50 feet to the left, as a matter of fact. Their nest. |

Pfft, where are the aerial photos? I would loved to have seen video from the plane's view while trying to get it down. |

Jeremy....I couldn't stop laughing...still bust out laughing when I watch it. Thanks, CC405. I sold the Digital Rebel and picked up a 20D. Mo bettah . The shots of the dog and eagles were taken from so far away (300mm zoom) and under such horrible light (overcast) that they're grainy. Had to compromise between light and shutter speed to snap action without getting things blurred. |
