I meant the vehicle itself...I am leasing mine 07 Jeep and I want to add a few things to it and I was wondering if it would void my warranty with the dealership

Personally I wouldn't do anything more than cosmetic. Performance mods would probably void the warranty for the powertrain and anything other than stock size tires and wheels would void the drivetrain.

The only way you can add stuff to a leased Jeep is if you buy it through the Dealership and they have to install it. I had a buddy with a new ruby when they first came out. He had 4:88 gears, Lift and some 36in tires. he had some parts break on it. That weren't part of what he added. Or did the parts he added cause the break. They didn't warranty it. Your best bet is to go to the dealership were you got it from and talk to a Manager to see what your options are.

Just another reason,IMHO,why leasing a car is not the greatest idea.

I agree, but it was a financial decison I had to make..We all have to get to work some how right? I also got a hell of a deal for it .. "07" Grand Chrokee Laredo "Rocky Mountain Edition" a lil less than $350 per month

Over the past couple of days I ordered a few parts and one was a mopar front defelctor. It requires drilling into the bottom part of the hood..I called the parts department and they said they would install it for about $50 beans which is not too shabby..By having them install it it does not affect the warranty factor

I really wanted to mount some mickey thompsons on my rig though. I guess I have to find out if that would be an issue as well
