Clod racing pretty popular on the East Coast/Northeast area. They don't race on outdoor off-road type tracks though so a lot of people may not know about racing these. The Thunder Tech Tremor is a great looking chassis, but is kind of top-heavy for true racing. I know there aren't a whole lot of them around, so if that style chassis is what you're looking it may be a good deal. Our chassis is less complex in design (no semi-real looking cage) but offers more in adjustability and can handle twin battery packs if necessary. It's also pretty easy to adjust from a race chassis to a everyday basher chassis without worrying about damaging anything on the chassis. |

For any chassis, you would like to have it as low as possible for racing. Ours as pictured sits 1-1/8" off the ground and the battery and electronics sit just above the battery. I don't know if you can get the Tremor to sit that low since I don't have one. To bash around, you would want to just raise the chassis up a bit so you have a little more ground clearance and more suspension travel to handle bigger jumps. Our truck currently runs a Novak Super Duty ESC, 8 cell 3300 battery pack, and two Team Orion Method R 11T motors with 2WS. Needless to say it's plenty fast with that combination! |

Dirt or carpet racing? On carpet, either pullers or bajas. I personally like the pullers a lil better, but you gotta find the older ones with the harder rubber compound because the news collapse the side wall when going into turns hard. If its dirt, I have some old amark spike tires I love, or cut stock clod tires work well -Mike | |
