Holy crap that is huge. My wife thinks I have too much fun parking my Excursion in "compact" parking spots. Imagine the fun I could have with that one

I see he got the downgraded model though. It looks to only have 142 switches instead of the LX version which has 158 switches. By the way, with the Patriot missile firing system and drive by wire controls in between the seats, where does one place his morning latte? :?

Haha apparently you aren't manly enough to drive a Unimog if you have to ask where the latte goes Sam......then again you do live....up there.

Ben when are we going to off this guy and stash this U500 in my backyard????

Don't let the location fool you brother. Speaking of which, when are you coming back?

I am somewhat manly right since I drive Unimog axles in my crawler. The weird thing is, I don't even have a latte holder in my rig either. I don't have an 1100 square foot cockpit with a windshield the size of a Cadillac hood. Geeze that thing is huge. Image how bugs you could kill at the exact same time with that thing. You'd wipe out half the population in one run up the freeway.

Nate, that is not too far off, he said when he gets tired of it, he will call me and make me a good deal if I still want one. He only keep rigs about a year or 2. Then we could have some fun.

I would rather have his other mog U1550L

Are you like a mechanic, builder, or just a huge fan?

well, let's see, I have owned 15 of them, re-built 9 of them, worked on them, bought them, sold them and have always been a fan of them. There is no other 4wd that will touch them, period.

So, obsessed fan. Right on, I would be too if they were even close to my price range.
