Default Another scammer trying to get your paypal info

Any legit paypal request will show your name and email address you used to sign up with, anything else is a scam

yes it is many people will save the paypal screen, send yo na email with a bogus reason to log in and the link in the email will bring you to a fake login screen that is Identical to the real one, except for many of the screen functions will not be active, except for the login info

Paypal will never ask you for your info and will always send the info to your original signup email account and will use the actual name you used to sign up with.

So instead of

Dear PayPal user,

It will start with

Dear Brian Harmon, or (insert your name)

any email that does not name you personally is a fraud

Make sure you forward that email to spoof@paypal.com
So they can have a look at it and probably stop them.

A few months ago. Some how, someone got into my paypal account and attempted to get $4000 from my checking. I don't know how they did it because I am well aware of the fake emails and I use a complicated passwords. Fortunately I never have the need to keep more than $1000 in my checking so I they didn't get anything.

When I get mail informing me that my Paypal Acct. is going to be/has been suspended, I immediately open another browser and check my acct. from Paypal's site. If there's something going on that's legit, it will show there.

Rockwerks makes a good point also - Paypal knows exactly who you are, the scammers don't have the slightest idea. When you get legit mail from Paypal, it will be addressed to YOU - by the name you used to register. Anything addressing you as "Dear Paypal account holder" or anything along those lines is a SCAM, period.

All these clowns are doing is trying to get your personal info.

I get so many of these in my junk box nowadays, I don't even take them seriously anymore (3 to 5 a week from both "Paypal" and "Ebay") I just immediately delete them.

I always open a new tab in Firefox and use my bookmark to check my account too. I NEVER click on the email links.

i got one awhile back when you click the link in the email, the page it brings you to, the links actually link to real paypal pages seeming pretty bonafide.

if any one wants my paypal info pm me, i'd rather one of you guys get it and buy rc stuff than some spammer buying god knows what.
