I've got the 13 inch 2.16 model shown there, gig of ram, 120 gig drive. If you're a mac person looking for a laptop, you'll love it. If you're a windows person looking for a laptop, you'll hate your desktop. If you're not committed to a particular OS or anything and you get one, you will be an OS X fan. I can't find any reason to recommend against the purchase. Not only has apple continued to use top of the line hardware even after switching to intel based systems, which is why there is still a price premium, but OS X is by far the best desktop OS out there in my opinion. In fact, my personal laptop is also acting as my desktop at work currently because my company workstation has died and I refuse to loose the productivity I'd loose to switch to a windows workstation, and none of the other systems here will run a Unix desktop properly. |
