It would have to have quite a bit of mods to be worth that!

Just seems to me that if you are transplanting a 9", throw in its matching 44 at the same time. | |

Hey Robb, the older early broncos (pre 1970 ish) came stock with a d30 front/9"rear. EDIT Oops i was too slow. You see 9's in all sorts of stuff becasue its FAR easier to stuff a different rear diff in compared to dealing with the front! Thats why you see all these "built" d30's floating around

| I have to go back and forth on the issue. By record, dittohead is correct, and Ford technically changed over to D44s in '71....................although there are LOTS of '72-'73s out there that found their way out of the factory with a D30. What kind of percentage, I have no idea. But I have heard/read of plenty. But yes, any Bronc '74-'77 would be a narrow LP D44.

not a high output motor , only in 91-96 is a H.O 4.0L. It shouldnt be worth that much. Over here theres a (dont know the year) cherokee 32" bogger on a 3.5" lift, for 1400. And its got good tread swampers on it. like 85% im guessing. |

I am not a Jeep guy, but I haven't heard anything in the description that sounds like a $5500 vehicle.

you are correct on the terminology, but most of the xj's and TJ's where still badged HO up into the 2001 year. and the block was still the basic amc 4.0 until they stopped using it in 2006, the heads intake exhaust and ignitions changed over the years but the block remained basically interchangeable for all the years I currently run a 99 HO motor in My ladies 95 xj, all was Identical to hook up except for the temp sender.
