my mom put my dog to sleep today, and hes not even 10 yet..he was still really healthy and i've had him since i was like 5..R.I.P Max :(

If he was really healthy why was he put to sleep?

I feel your pain. I had a dog named Max also and he was about a few months old and he had to be put to sleep.:-(

If he was still healthy why was he put to sleep, thats a bunch of bull ****, if there was nothing wrong with him he shouldn't have been put to sleep.

WHy would a Vet just put a healthy dog down. Unless he got hit by a car or shot or something then he aint healthy anymore. Sorry man might be for the best though.

This makes no sence, why was he put to sleep if he was heathly. Sorry dude that sucks.

well he was getting old and peeing everywhere, so my mom just brought him to the vet without telling anyone. I feel like killing someone..

Sorry to hear that. I've never had to make that choice before. Hopefully I never will. Dogs really are man's best friend and when they're gone it's like losing part of the family.:-(

That really sucks! i remeber having my dog get put down because he was going mental i swear and was biting everyone! you just couldn't go near him!

The best thing for her to do was to call a rescue.

Call the Humane society, they might have a pup they will give away... thats how I got my Buster (he is 13 now and still awesome!!!)

He might of just had a urinary infection, pretty common with age.
Hopefully she talked it over with the vet before making her decision.
Maybe she thought she was doing the best.
I still think it was cruel of your mom to not let you say goodbye.
When I put my girl down after 15 1/2 yrs, I was there with her until she took her last breath. I couldn't bare the thought of her seeing strangers as her last site. My boy, my hunting partner/best buddy, will be 6 this Oct, and it will probably be his last full year in the field. He'll retire from hunting and live the easy life
