| What to do when the fish aren't biting...
Made a trip to Red Feather Lakes, Dowdy Lake specificly. Little guys wanted to get some fishing in, and knowing their sort attention spans...Not sure where they get that from...I drug the Stealth Courier out of mothballs. Colton with a little rollover sequence and the follow-thru with some body english Some of the surrounding area showing some of the nice climbs and sidehill action...These have 666's name on them with the obligatory OUT OF BOUNDS lines:-P:-P:-P Killed 2 venom stick packs up there and wiped out a couple plastic servo arms before digging deep enough to find an aluminum arm...suprised I actually had one An awesome way to kill the afternoon with the kiddos. So is it just one centralized area or are there outcroppings everywhere? Is it a State Park or?? I like the looks of the rocks in the water! |

666... There are outcropings all over up there, that was one of the ones that's easy access from the day use area. There is some parking in the tent site area, and this is not to far from that also. If the little guys could've hung longer, I'd have checked out the area on the other side of the parking. There is quite a large area to explore, and thats just what you can get to without a boat It's in the Roosevelt National Forest, It's A USDA Forest Service Fee Area. This link has info for contacting the Ranger district up there, LMK and I'd be willing to make some Info calls, or talk Mrs. ShorTy into it. http://campincolorado.com/federal/ar...owdy_lake.html I think the campsites are pretty spendy:-(, they just got through renovating the facilities and campsites...it's pretty nice. I think RRRCCKS needs to do a recon mission Last edited by DeaDShorT; 07-29-2007 at 03:38 PM. |
