Default Discontinued?....

I was on the email notification list on Tower for some clod parts (e clips, washers, steering knuckle screws, etc.), but never received an email about their status. Well, I checked the site today to see what the holdup is, and this parts bag is discontinued! Man, this really puts me in a bind. I borrowed some of these parts to get my axles together, and now I'm gonna give the parts back, but can't reassemble! I can't even buy the misc. parts separately, 'cause they're disc. too.

I don't suppose that anyone has any extra:

5mm e clips
6mm washers/shims
steering knuckle screws

?????????

Does anyone know what the deal is? I hope they're not planning on discontinuing the super clodbuster too!?

Are those clips, screws and washers the same as what is used in the Juggernaut or TXT axles? I bet most of the stuff can be used between the 2-3 rigs.

Most likely Tower is probably just dropping it from their list of products, Tamiya probably wouldn't just stop selling those needed small items. Get ahold of Tamiya USA if you are in serious need.

I think I'll do just that Toyo. I even looked for the e clips and washers elsewhere, but to no avail. I can find 6mm washers, but they're much thicker than the ones that they use for shims. I couldn't even find e clips in a metric size.

If you have a hobby shop near you, check with them. They might have some spare parts lying around. I know that Calandra Racing makes 6 mm shims, and they a super thin; you may need to use a couple of them to get the right thickness. As for the 5 mm e-clips, look at HPI, they may have some for the Savage or something. You usually can get a bag for a buck or two. Good Hunting!
