| Horsetooth reservoir - colorado guys
I wanted to post up some pics now that the water level is dropping. This spot has so many lines it is incredible. For those that were at the Colorado winter comp #5 at Horsetooth, this area is much larger with several seperate areas and a variety of terrain. Keep this spot in mind for the Winter series. I will be posting a get together at this spot soon, keep an eye out in the "get togethers" section. Also spy pics of my new chassis prototype is action. Been working on this over the summer, but she is finally close to being ready to reveal. Keep an eye out. |

Awesome! What do you think about the next comp there, the 3rd weekend of September? Can you get the ball on that or should I do it?

I will talk to the park guys. Shouldn't be a problem. We will have to set up a shuttle from the parking lot where we had the last comp up here. This spot is about 1/4 mile further North. There is a small parking lot at this spot, only 5-7 vehicles. The walk is shorter, but the trail is a bit rougher, so no complaining. I would suggest that no one bring large rolling toolbox type kits. The more easily carried the better. There is so much terrrain, I really want to see what courses you sickos will set up.

WOW - the water is down a lot!! There are mad lines exposed now. That's cool... Horsetooth is where I learned to wakeboard in 1988 (I still have a friend or two in Loveland today) there was a lot more water in it back then!! It was COLD water, too. My boy pulled in the thermometer and exclaimed "great, the temp is up 3 degrees from last weekend!!" I looked at the thermometer myself - it read 58!!!! |

Skippy said I should post up some pics of the trail down to this spot so yall know what the short hike is like. I will try to get that done this week. Skippy says you all are a bunch of Sally's and won't want to walk down. Are you gonna let him talk about you that way? It is steeper than the road at the other spot and is a trail not a road. But you guys can do it. Just don't bring a bunch of stuff to haul. Just the basic tools and spare parts. I think you will find it worth the effort. Last edited by dystance; 08-13-2007 at 10:35 PM. |

I am game for the 16th but if I break a bunch of crap out in Moab I might not have a running rig.
