| Body Rule Question....
ok so i know the wheely king body is called a 1/12 scale body. But its actually bigger, and has more actual structure and straight up more lexan then most comp cut bug bodys i've seen... and then you look at a some stadium truck bodys that they call 1/10 scale are way smaller then the WK body... so what do you guys think?? would you let a WK body compete?? |

It has been discussed a few times. Do a search and I am sure you will find it.

I have no problem with it. That rule was just written to keep people from using super tiny bodies like 1/18 scale stuff. |

Having rules in place so a newcomer (likely a young kid) that takes his WK to a local comp is told he can't compete because the body isn't 1:10th scale isn't a good way to bring new people into the sport.

| I was asked yesterday by a competitor if the PTI Goliath body is legal. It is listed as an 1/18th scale body and is significatly smaller than a regular 1/10th scale body.

I think maybe we could drop the 1/10 from the rule, and just go off the measurments.

But yes if someone running a body on a non tube chassis doesn't fit the minimum measurements it won't fly.

"Vehicle must run a production body. Body trimming is allowed, however body must be a minimum 3" height on the sides, no less than 12.5" total length, and no less than 5" wide. Narrowing of the body is prohibited." Rearranged some words, took some out, added some in, but I believe our original intent is still there, and it should be clear.
