Jeff, believe it or not I've already been paying taxes and Social Security for...21 years.

Yeah, at 12 years old I was paying Federal, State, and FICA.

Yeah, I get a social security letter about every other month. My wife and I where laughing at the last one. I'm 32 and in 1988 I paid taxes for the first time. I made $432.00 that summer. I think I spent every penny Friday afternoon after I got paid.

Did I ever tell you....

...weedeating 300+ acres every week sucks.

It was always the same routine...

"When you finish weedeating you can mow"

I'd bust my *** to finish early so I could do something besides weedeat.

1/2hr one way, 1/2hr back.

Run out of fuel at the 4-wheeler.

Jump on 4-wheeler...play on it while going to next spot.

When I wanted to screw around I wouldn't turn around at the 1/2 point...I'd go for the full hour and let the weedeater run out of fuel.

Then enjoy the long walk back to the 4-wheeler and flogging it through the field on the way back.

I Bet it does, My parents have twelve acres and I had to mow and weedeat all of it, when I was that age.

Yep, 300 acres about 7 1/2 miles of board fence x 2 for both sides. Once a week like clock work.
But think about moving the dirt. Shovel, shovel, shovel, but Dad we have a tractor with a loader. Why? Because you get paid by the hour, not by the job. I think you got the message. Farm work sucks!!! Find a better way to make a living. And it worked!!!
You now make a living playing with your work not working to play!!! Pretty cool
