| Ive got a funny feeling Who else thinks it's strange that proline hasnt stepped up with a new tire .when all the other manufactures have been releasing new tires here befor nats. I get the feeling they are goin to show up at nationals with a new tire that is so "revolutionary" the competition is goin to crumble.Who else posted or read the thread that digler started yesterday, then misteriously deleted after he got his imput,or maybe a mod deleted it.Seems suspitious to me......whatcha think. |

Yea I saw the thread you speak of yesterday. I think he may have been getting opinions on something he may want to do himself. I don't know Dirk personally so I don't know if he is affiliated with ProLine or not, but it seemed like he was "feelin" for his own personal product.

Who knows with him. Hes like Skunk Works with his stuff. I told him I'd pay $35 to $50 a set and then he deleted it. Maybe he was doing a feeler for proline, maybe he was'nt. Honestly, its none of my business until they or him says so. |

You guys need to visit Prolines website, they're showing that they will be offering the M2k and Moabs in their M3 compound, just like was asked of them in the Wheel and Tire forum.

Offering existing tires in a softer compound is just them doing everything they can to retain market share against the new Losi tires. The costly part of tire development is creating the molds, and developing the rubber formula. The molds already existed, and so did the M3 compound. Really didn't cost them anything. Reality is, they have never had a reason to feel their market share threatened until now. No other "serious" tire company has ever made a crawler tire before. I say "serious" becasue Axial (at least in the first release) and Imex have proven that making a tire that looks good is worthless without the right rubber. Losi has long been one of only two serious competitors for ProLine in the tire market. When they stepped into crawlers, ProLine took notice. |
