Yea I think that should be a good first truck. Gotta love them 80's Yota 4x4s. Get it! |

Looks like a spendy mud truck... I think the price is to high for that truck, I prefer toyotas with their stock engines as well though. When someone else does a engine swap, you do not really know how many corners they might have cut, and wiring can be a nightmare if you ever have problems, as no book will be able to tell you what wire does what. I called it a mud truck because I do not see any body armor at all, just a big V8, big tires, and a ugly flat bed. Ohh and smitty built nerfs are not body armor |

Being that it looks like a mud truck, I doubt it has much flex, could also be a harsh ride. If you want something for the street, and some trail use. Then find a rig on 35's, not 38's. And I would not pay 3000 for that truck, but that is just me. |

I would have to agree with Etype R on that. You can find a decent Yota like that for less $ with the stock engine in it. Yota axles are strong, but a SBC is a little too much on it. I personally would prefer one with a 22r so I could put propane on it as far as a Yota goes.

Check the frame, those old yota's rust out so bad, especially if it has been mudded alot. I would NOT buy one with a sbc, it open up a whole can of worms you probably dont want to deal with.

I've been driving for about 15 years now and all of the sudden I've been wanting some 80's rigs myself. I say go for it. I always wanted a Fall Guy looking Chevy truck and a late 80's IROC-Z but my wife would kill me.
