Default First car

I just got a 1983 ford Ranger for free..
It needs:
Floor board patched/replaced
New muffler
wheels/tires (not completely neccesary but they're ugly as fawk)
some kitty hair on the rusty holes
other mods??
is this a decent truck? i'd get pics but no cam

Default Danger Ranger

Those little Rangers will last a long time if taken care of.I still have mine that I bought brand new in 1987 when I was a freshman in high school.

Trade it on a Toyota. THEN you'll have something good.

Is it 4wd or 2wd? I believe that 83 was the first year of the ranger. I could be wrong.

Sounds more like worn out springs to me. Shocks would stop it from moving once started but how easy it is to move is springrate. My only complaint with the rangers I've owned were the automatic transmissions. Both of mine had the A4LD which should never have been put into a truck. I think they came with the C5 up till 85 though, so even if yours is an auto, the trans if pretty good, just no overdrive.
