Well guys i'am riding this one out, luckily for me and my family i am inland in the capital, but not so lucky for the rest of my fellow Hondurans:-(, i hope we don't get that much rain in the capital or we will have a catastrophy here also, it is upposed to be hitting the coast right now and we should feel the impact in a couple of hours, hopefully it's not to bad, i put my prayers for this country so that we don't have a national emergency. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070904/...opical_weather |

Remeber raytard - some people can't afford to leave. I've been to parts of Mexico and seen this sort of situation. There's nothing good about it.

No cotharyus, actually raytard is right, these poor people are given timely and proper warning, and they are asked to evacuate high risk areas, river beds, rcok slides areas, etc, there are shelters prepared for them and they still wont leave, that's until they have water to their necks or a rock or mud is crushing their wood/carboard box. I for one if am asked to leave my home i will , i have a family to protect that comes first than any stupid material belonging i can't take with me.

Apparently Felix has been downgraded to 3 category  , but is still moving inland, hopefully we wont sustain any damge here.Thanks for the words guys  |

Hi Dez, thanks for the words , we will probably see some rain and light to medium winds, i pray to god that it doesn't stay stationary like hurricane Mitch did almost 9 years ago and flooded half the country and detroyed many lives:-(, it wasn't any winds in the central area that did the damage but the inmense amount of rain it dropped.
