Default Fabbed a bumper for my xj

made of 1/4", and 3/16"steel. Also 2" square pipe, and 2" chromoly tube. Hand fabbed by me and my dad. Any ?'s just ask.

looks good man! ive always liked that style of bumper more than tube bumpers.

How far back on the frame did you take the mounting brackets?

I took them back 14 inches.

Thanks a lot!! But i cant take all the credit. I drew it all out, cut it, grinded it, cleaned it up, and painted it. My dad welded it (I didnt learn how to yet), gave a lot of good pointers, and drank a lot of beer. But heck if i had to look at me all day i would do the same

Looks good, wish you got some in process pics though. I like seeing how things are made more than the actual result.

Yep, i used those and 2 more back in the unibody a little bit




O and i cut it with a plasma cutter...

Yup, I always give my buddies who run XJs a hard time about unibody. But in the right hands they're very capable, just don't tell my buddies I said so.
