ok. so i have a 87 subaru gl-turbo. the turbo is shot and the head is cracked, plus it has like a million miles on it. so i need a new engine. i cant find any junkyard type ones around here or anywhere really. but i can get a jdm one for 550 plus 100 shipping. so heres my question. do they like bolt right in, no problem. and whats your overall opinion on them. |

They bolt right in, it's the exact same engine you have. I have used those in a suzuki samurai and in a geo metro. Both times they worked great, and you really can't beat the price.

They should bolt up. However, (1) keep the reciepts. (2) Some wiring harnesses may need to be extended because its a right hand drive engine and not a left. (3) Even if your car is pre-OBD2 if it has any emissions parts you need to transfer them over to the JDM motor. Hope that helps.
