Default Bunch of night flying.

Roy crashed not once, but twice tonight. Second time pretty much finished the plane. It's been repaired and re-repaired, and re-re-repaired one too many times.

I managed to fly until the battery started dropping off.

Got a few cool shots.

niiiice JIA, its funny how the blue shows so much better than the red. i actually just finished the build of the airfoilz Edge 540. soon as i get the servo extensions and and y harness in, ill be air born again! its been 15 years since ive flown a plank
killer shots. how did he like the cap, pre-crash? dads been eyeing that flatout, but heard horror stories of its super brittle foam and $hitty hinges.

lol - when I first glanced at the title I thought it said "bunch of nylints flying"... and though "WTF does that mean? I gotta see this!" and was disappointed. j/k

Awsome stuff Jason! Its a nice thing to see how many other forms of RC people on he like to tinker with.

Roy and I both fly 8oz. flatties in 10+MPH winds.

Believe it or not, I get paid to play with RCs. So...this is my job. I'm Assistant Editor for Fly RC, RC Driver, and Robot magazines.

We actually thought about that last night while looking at one of the shots. There was a "J" in one shot. Roy was like "Write your name!"

No thanks. One of the aileron servos was wiggin' out on high rates so I couldn't try half the stuff I wanted. High rates on elevator and rudder were fine, but you can't really do a nice aileron roll with a 3D plane on low rates.

Next time I go out I'll have much better pictures...should be more chaos with the ailerons fixed.

Roy shot some video that night.

Here's a bit of it. There's one point where I had to re-attach the blue that lined the top of the fuse.

It's hard to see, but that's what it's like flying at night.

We want to see the black of night, just like the poor pilot that would be stuck in the plane you're controlling.
