| Will there ever be an unlimited 2.2 class
Am I the only person that wants to add things such as 4ws and Crab walking capabilities to my 2.2 crawler? Will the world of RC crawling ever open up to the idea of a class of comp 2.2's that are allowed to be modified to the hilt like the SUPERS? Or am I just too new and ignorant to this and have empty promises of hope that one day I can blow my entire paycheck on modifying my 2.2. Or am I doomed to building a Super Class rig? What are your thoughts people!!!!!! |

If there is enogh 2.2 Unlimited crawlers around.... YES !!!! And if enogh combs to the crawler meets ... Then itīs only a matter of time before a new 2.2 Unlimited class may find itīs way in to the comp ... Maybe as a show class at first and later on it could be a permanent class ? Anyone else |

Ask your club, our opinions really don't really matter.

we run a 2.2 unlimited class at our comps, because there is enough intrest to warrant it. just depends on what your local club wants to do. |

So if you add 4ws does it make you look like a better driver?

[quote=ElChupoCabre;930801]Am I the only person that wants to add things such as 4ws and Crab walking capabilities to my 2.2 crawler? i wish my crabs would walk away i have a 4ws 2.2 for a basher, but it would be interesting at a comp. maybe for novice class. since the noobs are weary of installing a dig at first. |

IMO the possibility of rapid growth in RC Crawling next season clubs should be cautious about adding classes and concentrate on providing better comp day organization. Comp days are very likely to be getting much longer with the growth that I believe we will see in the next year.

This is the major problem. ORCRC stated in 2003 and it only took about 3 hours....fast forward to 2007, we start close to 7:30-8am and end close to 4pm. We run 3 courses at once just to finish within a reasonable time frame. Since we've added our Spec AX-10 class with lots of rigs entering that too... our days are going to be even longer. Those that want to add these subcatagory classes probably haven't been to a comp with more than 25 people running. 2-3 classes are the max at a comp, otherwise it takes too long. We allow 4ws on a 2.2...... but you'll have to run in the Supers class | |

I like running my truck (2.2) on the super class course here just for more learning. I'm a n00b in crawling, but I like it and I think I do well. I'd like to be able to take a trip down and run with EeePee's group this spring, match up my skills to people more "crawler".
