I find myself playin' with my toy (RC) more and more and my friends make fun of me.

Honestly, my RC is almost more fun than them and I'm beginning to choose to be with my car more than them cause they don't seem to as interested as me.

Whatta ya do? Can anyone relate?

I don't wanna bail on my friends, but I love my car.

It sucks. I wish I could find others who are as interested.

Dont be afraid to post, read all the FAQ's and as mean as it sounds search and you'll save your self alot of headache. good luck post up some pics of your crawlers.

The few of us "RC'rs" used to debate the geekieness with the few "WOW'rs" at work........

.............there really were no "winners" in such a debate.

My problem is similar. Mine is that RC is much easier and cheaper than 1:1 offroad building. That is why I'm unmotivated to finish my 1:1. This is evident by me calling it the 1:1 where as I used to just say "the truck" haha.

You're right, it is cheaper than building a 1:1 (I guess that's a full sized, real crawler), but it's still not cheap for me.

This is the most expensive hobby I've ever had, but it's sure worth it to me.

I don't care! My friends are fools for telling me I'm crazy for doin' this--something I love.

I'd never tell someone they're crazy for doin' something they love.

I'm the smart one.

Some of my friends have motorcycles and quads, but I don't.

We all mountain bike and hike together, but when that's over, what then?

Playstation? TV? Something along those lines is probably the "cooler" activities.

Finding a bum to buy you discount beer and drinking in a back alley also comes to mind.

My friends never thing RC is weird, they think it's cool. I bring one with me to 1:1 events and everybody watches or wants to drive. Then again that's an older crowd, not teenagers.
