Hey hows it going im by no means a expert but have built a few systems. Its been my experience that having atleast the rms of both subs added then bought a amp that could do that as a minimun. But i thing having a amp that will push more then what you need by alittle is better. then you dont have too run your gains full up.If i where going too use those subs i would shot for 800-1000.But i also think it will sound just fine with the 550 you where looking at.Youll have too wire your subs in series too get the 4 ohms or youll push the amp too hard.Hope this helps.

Yes you can use that setup and it will sound pretty good. Is the amp bridgeable??? If it is you will be better off running at one ohm. But you can run them in series or parallel to get 4 ohms if I remember correctly. I can't remember which way is what right now. I'm a little stereo crazy. For some reason I don't have a picture of the other front door. Here's my daily driver..

Your not going to get a good db out of any down firing box under a seat.. You would probably get mid 130's or so.

You will get excellent sound though. Down firing into carpet taks alot of the pressure out.

Two 2 ohms in series will yield a 4 ohm load. And you don't want to max out your gains. They need to be set to the output voltage of the device before them. Anything higher than that voltage results in nothing but crap sounding distortion. If you can't get the first watt right, there's no point in adding any more. Look for high efficiency speakers, and spend your money on QUALITY amplification. |

Thanks eee pee my brain isn't functioning right tonight. Yes they will be louder in a cad but db can be fooling. I'm just now pressuring a 159.6 with 4 12's a 4 10's. 13000 watts of power.
