| R/C on an airplane?
I was wondering...anyone ever taken a R/C of any kind on an airplane? I can't really imagine why there would be any trouble, but I'd rather not have to turn my truck over at security.

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure there's not a snowball's chance in Hell of getting anything even the least bit remote control looking with you in your carry on! And if you did... chances are the other passengers would see it and think you were trying to blow the plane up! I'd package it up and ship it via FedEx or something and pick it up when you get there... Then at least it's insured. |

Yeah I was thinking the same. My gf went to florida and while she was there she went to the hustler store and bought me some stuff. One of the things was a lighter and they took it when she went to get on the plane.

Done it quite a few times I went to Tenn. over Thanksgiving and took my crawler. No big deal I just took the wheels off, put it in my suitcase surrounded by clothes. I brought my transmitter in the case as a carry on since we were allowed two and went on my way. As far as I know you can not carry on lipos you have to check them.

Flying into and out of Vegas a month ago, everybody had to prove all electronic devices operated. Cel phone: on then off... iPod: on then off... Camera: on then off... Plus, don't forget your shoes! Take 'em off then put 'em on... |

Just check it. We did on/around September 11th last year when we went to Nationals. 6 or so trucks and a couple were made of basicly all aluminum. Radios, batteries, and lots of tools.... No problems. They only saw toys. Shipped some of them to Unimoger & it cost me $120 and that was only 3 trucks.... waste of money because Ben let the box get wet. The package was about 5 feet long though | |

pick up a pelican case and check it. the case itself is pricey, but if you travel alot, its worth it. i used mine when i was going on rotations alot to the desert for my clod, it held up well. ive had it 8 years now and its still watertight! heres a link for you. http://www.acephotodigital.com/sc/re...date=12_4_2007 |
