My first was a Nikko Dictator: Broke it within a few days, and returned it to the store. Then went to the LHS and bought a "hobby grade" Futaba FX10....................which was FAR from hobby grade: http://cgi.ebay.com/FUTABA-FX10-ALL-...QQcmdZViewItem |

Mine was a Ford monster truck, not hobby grade. I don't remember if it was 4WD, but it had 4WS such that it had a diagnol track on the controller to enable a crabwalk. I think I found it on ebay, but the controller is missing and that's the only thing about it that I can remember about it.

I started out on-road with a Jerobee Lightning in 1980. Looking back now, they were pretty low tech, but at the time they were high end stuff! A couple of years ago, I got on a nostalgia kick and found some on Ebay. I even have a mint one, in the original box! IN the mid 80's I had a couple of these: |

I had one of those Tyco sprint cars, a couple Radio Shack things, a Nikko Thor (stick a 9.6v pack in the bed and that thing would haul a$$!), some lifted 4x4 Camaro bodied thing by Nikko and also a Nikko buggy of some sort. Since then I have had an RC-10, RC-10 B2, Nitro RS4, OFNA LX Pro, Savage, LST2, MLST, Mini-T, a Baja, Duratrax Evader ST, and an AX-10. |

My first was a Tamiya frog. Beat the p!ss out of that thing. Me and my dad also had Hornets modded to run on asphault. I still have the body from mine. Looks like Dale Earnhardts car. That was when I was a kid. Then last winter I bought a couple of xmods and went as far as you can go with them until I decided I wanted a real toy with good electronics and such.
