Why not pic pick a reputable guy with a diesel pickup, and have everybody who sells a production tuber send one for independant testing on camera (if the vendors got the stones). Testing would be the same as 62Pyro used for the first video - all the way over and back with the front axle of a diesel truck, with tires fully inflated to mfgr's recommended pressure. I'm guessing that most would crush like an empty beer can, but I might be wrong. Lets see some more tests, this is kinda fun 666 - sorry to hear that you killed a crawler, that really sucks, but you gotta share some pics. |

I got the same frame as Pyro had. I would let one of you guys run it over, but it didn't hold up through the assembly phase. If it can't hold up to the rigors of being put together, it's a POS. |

and BTW, I was away from the forum for awhile during the Clodstall meltdown. I bought on of the much maligned tubers from him a while back, with similar experiences as others here, except I didn't pay the $40 i see he was advertising in more recent posts, I paid $100 which included badly cut pieces of aluminum siding for body panels and a misshapen melted peice of plastic for a skid plate. At the time, he had nothing but great feedback, so I left safe dealing with him. Only later it came out that he's been ripping people off with this junk all this time. My gripe is not with him or me wanting my money back, I suppose I can live with the $100 hit. The feeback forum doesn't really work, most people don't want to post about a bad deal with an otherwise seemingly well respected forum member. And a bit of a personal bitch, the fact that this site will tolerate and allow certain behavior from a "trusted member" with a vendor star (i.e. Clodstall's advocating use ,and posting pictures ,his personal weed stash in a forum that is known to be visited by young people.) I find a bit disconcerting. That had kept me away from the forum for a while. While this is a great site, with alot of great people here, I hope this is something that will be taken more seriously in the future. Ok, I know the Clodstall thing is a dead issue at this point, I just wanted to rant. I'll stop now. |
