OK design, but the tube is too big and the bends aren't tight enough. Though it looks like it might perform descent. Does it conform to the tube chassis rules?

I would suggest adding shock and upper link mounts before going much further. p!nK |

This sort of reply really makes me laugh. I'm not sure if you can read, but its his 1st attempt at a tuber, so maybe it won't be identical to every other tuber. Second of all, who says his tube is too big? Your opinion based on the knowledge of just looking at everyone else's rigs. Third of all, don't put down someone's attempt, got nothing nice to say, don't say it. Forth and finally, who says that he is building it to compete? If he isn't, it hasn't got to conform to any rules. | |

| its all good,
yeah the tube it way big its 1/4" copper, i have a ton of copper to use to test things and thats why i am using it when i get a lil better i will go to the brake line. these copper tubers are pretty strong i can stand on them and they dont bend or break.. but the smaller tubes look a heck of alot better. anyways thanks for the input!!

First off, it looks good for your first attempt. Like rckjeep said some smaller tubing would probably look better, but if it's what you had and it's free that's understandable. Well put. rckjeep gave constructive criticism, which is exactly how people learn and get better. If all you ever here is "oh that's perfect" and "great job" nothing will progress. I agree you shouldn't just post "it sucks" or "you did a horrible job" etc, but if a good explanation is given as to why and how to correct it the person will end up with a better performing or looking rig. I know I would be pissed if I had a horrible idea and everyone just didn't post anything or just said "looks good" to be nice. It's all part of learning, nobody is perfect, but we can all help each other even if it means we did or made something stupid and people let us know. |

I think it looks sick , not to sure about the belly pan , but I really like the way its shaped. Copper hugh...... not a bad idea. RUN IT. Paint it green , with some black spotted side plates and call it a "the frog". |

I still dont see any shock mounts :-P:-P looks good, you might want to try and move your upper links to the bottom side of that tube (if there is room, hard to tell from picture angles) it might give you a little better suspension movement (especially if you are planning on running droop) dont paint it, clean the welds as best you can and leave it copper p!nK |

Does your pinion angle change much during suspension movement? Just wondering as it looks like it might have too much upward angle in the front. Might need to adjust your link length a bit possibly to reduce the angle some and make sure the pinion angle does not get to drastic as the suspension travels through its arc. Other then that it looks like it is coming along pretty well for a first attempt. |

If you run it and don't like it, you can take it to the scrap yard and get about $2.80 a pound for #2 copper right now. Looks like a go start, But needs shock mounts.
