Question Scale Top Truck Challenge?

I'm thinking the Colorado guys need to do a scale TTC comp sometime late this spring. It would be scheduled around the winter series and scale series. I've been talking with jason, as well as a few other Colorado guys, and think it would be a blast. It could be a run what you brung type of event, but limited to 2.2 tires and wheels. The Route 72 comp spot would probably be the best location. The area is fairly quiet during the winter/early spring.

We could do all the stages the 1:1 comp goes through.......

Time Trial/Obstacle Course

Tank Trap

Frame Twister

Mud Pit

We could also do a hill climb, rock crawl course, drag race, etc.

Any takers?

Since there are so many events, what about maybe a 2 day deal, saturday and sunday camping trip maybe at buffalo creek?

I think we could find some good water there. Hill climb check, rocks check, obstical course check.

That could work too, I'm open to whatever. It would be easier to set-up all the courses if we did it that way.

Red rocks might also be a good place since it's close and people can go there and work on building stuff.

Nice, only regulation is 2.2 wheels and tires? This is going to be bad-ass!!

I think so. Even if the 6x6 and 8x8 make an appearance, they'll excel in some events, but suffer in others IMO.

Brad and I were talking, you know how in the real TTC they have to pull the dump truck up the hill? We could all pull Shelly up the hill;)

Frame Twister
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gCGxGpnb7U

Hell yeah, that is my buddy Brent Burton from Colstrip Montana on the frame twister. That TJ is so sick, I have been on a few trail rides with him, that thing is fun to watch. Just about unstoppable, he won TTC that year, I do believe.

You should see his flat fendered, 4 linked, willys on 42" crawlers

Montana, representin' !

Great idea on the TTC, this looks like a TON of fun.
